About SavoryFolks

We're cooks, not food scientists.

We started SavoryFolks because finding GF/DF recipes that actually taste good — not like a compromise — was harder than it should be. So we built the resource we wished existed.

Every recipe reviewed before it goes live
Honest about substitutions
No sad cauliflower-rice workarounds
A growing community of GF/DF cooks
Why · How · Who

Three things you should know before you cook with us.

This is who we are, how the recipes get made, and why we'll never publish anything we wouldn't put on our own kid's plate.

01 Why we started

We built what we needed.

Finding GF/DF recipes that actually taste good — not like a compromise — was harder than it should be. So in 2026, we built the resource we wished existed: tested recipes, honest about substitutions, written for real people.

02 How it works

Tested. Reviewed. Published.

Recipes on this site fall into the "Your Money or Your Life" category — content that affects health decisions. That means every recipe is written carefully, reviewed before publication, and updated when something changes. We don't publish and forget.

03 Who we are

The SavoryFolks Team.

We're not chefs. We're not influencers. We're cooks with strong opinions about weeknight dinner and a stubborn refusal to let a dietary restriction become a personality trait.

Our promise

Every recipe reviewed.
No exceptions. No "should works."

If a recipe doesn't survive a Tuesday-night kitchen with a tired adult and a hungry kid, we don't publish it. Full stop.

Step 1 — Written & tested

The recipe is developed, cooked, and refined until the result is exactly what we'd serve at our own table.

Step 2 — Reviewed for accuracy

Ingredients, labels, and dietary claims are checked before anything goes live. We don't guess.

Step 3 — Published & maintained

We update recipes when brands change formulas or readers flag an issue. Published isn't the same as finished.

The SavoryFolks Team

We're not chefs, not influencers, not a media company. We're a small team of cooks with strong opinions about weeknight dinner and a stubborn refusal to let a dietary restriction become a personality trait. Every recipe on this site is written carefully, reviewed before it goes live, and updated when something changes. No sad substitutions, no disclaimers. Just food that actually works.

"If it tastes like apology food, it doesn't go up."
